On Friday, my buddy Scott Cate blogged about a great new feature in Resharper, one that lets you quickly find files and types using only the uppercase letters of the name.
It's a really smart feature idea. In Resharper it's called "CamelHumps". I'm not kidding. Check it out:

As you know, at Developer Express our motto is "We don't f*ck up like we used to." So, to avoid any kind of copyright/legal issues, we're calling the CodeRush version of this feature CamelHumping.
See, it's way different.
...
Unfortunately, I was cc'd this morning on a complaint filed by the clowns in the company's newly-formed Ministry of Public Decency department. These guys work closely with Developer Express' Black Ops security team, which as you know have been a bit overbearing of late.
Anyway, the
-pluckers in MPD claim this new CamelHumping feature violates 7 of the 18 decency mandates that came down last week (and no, in case you're wondering, I have not had time to read that particular email).
Here's the options page that has everyone freakin' out:

The man is clearly trying to bring me down.

Another clear violation of Security Disrespect clause 522 (sec. II, art. 14, para. 2 & 3). Going on your permanent record Miller. Have a nice day. |
